In conjunction with the International Zero Waste Day on March 30th, a public awareness program and a walk organized jointly by the Horana Municipal Council and the Western Provincial Waste Management Authority was held in Horana city.

Horana University Faculty, Sripali Maha Vidyalaya, Taxila Vidyalaya, Horana District General Hospital, Horana Police, Horana Regional Council, Horana Health Medical Officer's Office have jointly organized this program for this program.
