Introduction 

This is the pioneering Resource Management Centre established by the WMA-WP.  It is located in a 37 acre land formerly used as an open dumping site for over 30 years and the WMA-WP acquired the land in 2010 and established this centre.

A large-scale compost yard which produces 2500 MT of compost per month, a waste transfer station and a controlled dump site are located here.

Mihisaru Resource Management Centre offers its services to more than 7 local government authorities in Colombo district covering a population of over one million
